Where is the rage? – Alpena teacher accused of sexually assaulting boy 100 -plus times

Not to make light of this in any way, but where is the outcry? The calls for justice? The same rage we hear whenever a priest is accused…

Simple question…

Thing about it for a second… We send our kids to school for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, not including sports or other after school activities… We place our trust in the system, in people we don’t even know… Yet we hear nothing…

This happens more often than we know, the school system is a perfect breading ground for this, they, the teachers, have the trust and respect of the student, they, the teachers, interact with them, learn about them, find there weaknesses and can show then the affection they need or want, all in the name of performing there job…

Just like the catholic priest, not all teachers, in fact I would say not even most. But a small percentage of them use there power for there own needs…

The same outcry, the same rage needs to be placed on our school system as it is on the catholic church. Nothing more, nothing less…

 

A former Alpena special education teacher will stand trial on charges she repeatedly sexually assaulted a male student.
