Real men… Do they exist?

ZBernie-e1458248714369

America has lost the art of Manhood… Real men are hard to comeby .. Infact manhood has been demonized…

A study by The Innovation Group released on Friday showed that members of Gen-Z largely reject the idea of gender binaries — like male or female — and a majority do not consider themselves “completely heterosexual.”

Is our nation removing manhood? Will we become a nation if nongenders?

Men and women are allowed to vote for whomever they want. However, our choices can tell a lot about who we are and our belief systems. Voting for Bernie Sanders is voting to be “taken care of,” not unlike a child or a dog. Real adults- both men and women- vote for those who will offer the best opportunities, not the best “free stuff.” A conservative woman recently penned an article detailing how “men” who support Bernie Sanders can never actually call themselves “real men.” The title sound inflammatory, but the points are compelling:

I once thought I was strong because I could bench press 365 lbs. and felt like the Hulk after a little workout. I once thought I was strong because people looked at me and I could tell they were impressed or intimidated by my height and build. When I became a husband and father, I’ve come to realize this is a feeble and laughable strength.

We need to return to true manhood… Or our Nation will be lost.. We need to return to true womenhood, our civilization will be lost… We have genders for a reason…

Is there such a thing as real gentlemen?

Searching the web for interesting content to post to my Guided Insight Facebook page I ran across an article  12 Things A Real Gentleman Does Differently, I found the article too be interesting, and it made me think…. “Hmmm, do they even exist anymore?”.

m-thumb-god-is-a-gentleman

Can a society of self absorbed, gadget loving, constantly plugged in really care about opening doors for someone? Can a nation that believes in the murder of innocent lives, labeled as pro-choice, really respect anyone? Can a people so concerned about political correctness and offending others really be honest and open?

rs_293x473-130801195431-634.JBieber.ms.080113_copy

I think not…

The whole idea of a young man, or for that matter, almost any man, young or old, acting in a gentlemanly way is too foreign to us, sad to say, but it is true. In a nation where the president talks hip-hop to the youth, how is that acting like a gentlemen?  Our leaders should be our best examples to follow. when sport starts steal crab legs and rappers derogate women, how do we expect our young men to grow into being a gentlemen?

We cannot except what we do not teach. We are a nation of selfies and instagrames a nation of self promotion, feel good, do as I please as long as I enjoy it. We have allowed the nation to fail our youth, yet we still expect them to be OK… We, ourselves have failed, yet we expect them to learn the lessons we are unable to teach.

Five Boys

Can we, can America, can our young boys become young men who will become Gentlemen, yes, they can, but it has to start with a cultural change, a shift away from the self promotion lifestyle.  we have to shift to a lifestyle that promotes others, the common good and respect for self and others. It can be done, but it wont be easy. Just dressing up the outside with nice suits and hat does not make one a gentleman, it just makes them a nice looking young man or boy. Being a gentlemen is more than that, yes the appearance makes a huge difference, but in-of-it-self does not make the man into a gentleman.

We, as a people, as a nation, as individuals, as men and women, have a lot of work to do… But it can be done…

Share the Wealth

There are a few things on my mind that I thought I would talk about today, its been sometime between my posting, but I though I would give it a shot today. Why the break? I really don’t know, I always have something to say about what’s going on in our world.

obamaHeck, Obama gives me fresh ideas daily, but the problem is, they all relate to the same topic with him, Socialism, and his attempts to “fundamentally Change America” into a socialistic country. By the way, he is doing a good job at it, with ObamaCare as law and his repeated attacks on the Constitution of the United States, one could make the argument that he already has achieved his goal. An America where he is king, the ruler of all… Scary thought if you ask me… Not just because he is Obama, but scary thought for any U.S. President to think they are King or Queen… The Founding Fathers must be turning over in their graves, they fought a King and a nation who thought they had the right to govern our lives. We declared our independence from a nation of Tyranny, only to vote in a new King, a new order of Tyranny. Americans are sleeping, they are being lulled into a false sense of security and the current administration and liberal mindset is perfectly content with that.

I wish I could place all the blame on the liberals within congress and the white house, but I cannot, I must also bring the current republican party in the mix. The party of liberty and conservative values as seem to lost its way. We have more RINOs in the party than in all of Africa. They have lost sight of what the part was founded on. The simple ideals that people are free and able to govern themselves. The party that ended slavery is not part of the slave trade, in bed with the liberal political machine that we call Washington. George Washington must be ashamed of the city named after him, a city that was to be, as Ronald Reagan once said, “We Will Be a City Upon a Hill”, sadly, the City upon the hill is no longer shinning its light of freedom, as she once did. She is now shining a light of dependence, one that does not call forth all of humanity to work and strive for greatness, but one that calls forth people to cling to the fringes of greatness, one that depends upon the benevolent mercy of their master, one that forces her subjects to plead and degrade themselves in an attempt to obtain that which is already theirs, Liberty and Justice, Freedom and the God-given right of the Pursuit of Happiness.

But we cannot leave the blame in Washington, no, we must spread the wealth of blame around (see, I am being media-biasa good socialist and sharing the wealth). The media needs to eat of the cake of Americas down fall. They, who are to champion the American people, they, the media, who are to investigate and report the facts, they too share in the decline of a nation that use to the Shinning Light upon the hill, the nation that use to be the beacon of Freedom, the destination of all who dreamed of a life built upon the sweat of the brow, Now the media is the propaganda arm of the Washington Liberals. Integrity in the media is a thing of the past, there are very few in the national media who truly believe in fact based reporting. It is sad, we have the freedom of the press, yet they choose not to exercise that right, we have freedom of speech, yet they choose to stifle it. Please note, I am talking about all media outlets, yes even Fox News. And YES, I love Fox News, I find them to be the best of the bunch, but when the bunch includes MSNBC, well really, it don’t take much to rise to the top. But even Fox News falls into the trap of propaganda, maybe not liberal propaganda, but still, sometimes Facts are far and few between the talking points of the day. They feel their mission is to inform the poorly educated masses, the poor people who cannot think for themselves, how to think, vote and react to every aspect of our lives. We are not allowed to form our own opinion on any given topic, unless, of course, it aligns to their current position. Any deviation is a sign of free-thinking and they will not tolerate this. So the weapons of words are open upon us, Racist, Bigot, Intolerant, and more are slung upon us as a way to keep us inline, to force us to be good little sheep and follow the Great Leader into the promised land of rainbows and unicorns. And sadly many follow, many were taught to do so by our state-run mind bending institutions.

The Public School System also is to blame, and I use the word public in a very loose way. There is nothing public about them, they are own and controlled by the federal government, they are managed by the local unions and are in bed with the liberal mindset that controls the curriculum, if one can call it that! The current system of education, or should I say indoctrination, is a system that was established to do just that. To take the young and turn them into good, law-abiding, rule following, non thinking citizens. It was not created to give birth to free thinking rational beings. This is not my personal take on public education, this is a historical fact, here are a few links:

Prussian education system

Compulsory education

History of education in the United States

Public School IndoctrinationWe are using and outdated form of education, one based on the need for the uneducated masses to be educated to perform manual tasks. Our world no longer lives in such a state, yet our education system still runs on and believes in such a system. So called reforms are nothing but Band-Aids to fix a system that is no longer relevant to the world around us. The current union sees no need to change the system, for it benefits them and there members. Now please, before teachers start sending me messages of hate, understand that I truly believe that MOST teachers are of good hearts and truly believe they are serving the students and communities they teach in, but also know that I truly believe the current system is broken beyond repair! To me, it is like trying to retro fit a Model A car with a Mustang engine, it may work, but the Model A will eventually fall apart, it was not made for such speed and our current infrastructure. Just as the automobile has changed over the years, evolved into the current class of vehicles, so must our educational system. But that is only part of the problem, the other part, the liberal take over of our education system, a system that teaches not facts but propaganda, one that pushed the theory of global warming as a fact, as our current president, Mr. Obama, did in his Stat of the Union address. Theory and fact are not of the same cloth, and they should not be lumped together as one-in-the-same. But the agenda of the liberals uses the young minds to mold into a new generation of sheep that follow the dogma of liberal thinking. They are mass-producing generation after generation of Americans that no longer reason. We have generations of youth that cannot think outside of the liberal box, generations of youth that see the government as the answer to all our problems a generation of youth that take no responsibility for their own actions or lives. Basically a generation of cloned storm troupers that follow orders given by the imperial leaders.

America is lost, she is wandering in the desert looking for the promised land, we exiled ourselves to the land of liberal utopia, a land with no responsibility, a land of the free handouts, ObamaCare, ObamaPhones, Welfare, a Nanny State that will “care” for your from birth,if your lucky enough to be born, to natural death, if you are chosen to live that long. We have given our freedoms over in the name of equality and offered up our liberty as a sacrifice on the alter of government programs. Safety Nets, as we are told to call them, because no one would be willing to trade liberty and freedom over to a program called “Government Control” yet, that is exactly what we are doing.

221Look at New York, salt is not allowed on tables in restaurants, you must ask for the privileged to use it, California has determined that big screen TV’s are not allowed, for your own good, and smokers have been banished to the wastelands of society.  Yes, too much salt is bad for you, yes large screen TVs use more energy and yes smoking kills… But it is not for the government to decide if I like salt or not, if I want a 70 inch TV or not and if I would like to smoke or not. In a free society, it is up to me to decide. Yet the Nanny State has decided that I am not smart enough to make my own decisions, they have decided that I, an adult, must be told what is best for me. My life is not my own, it is a gift from the government, one that can be taken from me at the will of the powers that be. This thought should scare every American, yet many do not see it that way, many see the government as their primary care taker, the source and summit of their being. A sad state of affairs, if you ask me.

A once great nation, a nation of responsible and industrious people, is now a nation of takers, a nation of dependents. A nation that controls the masses, a nation that has abandoned the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United Stated of America.

It was once said about America, We have awoken the sleeping giant, it seems to me that we once again are sleeping, that once again we need to be awoken… God willing the national alarm clock will wake us yet again.

My Thoughts on the Trayvon & Zimmerman Show

abc_trayvon_martin_zimmerman_nt_120517_wg

A lot has been said and posted concerning the Zimmerman verdict, some like and some do not. I think this will always be the case when we have a society that is trained to be polarizing. The media worked overtime to make sure the American public had a tainted view of the case. Starting with the edited 911 call to make Zimmerman sound like a racist, to the photo used of Trayvon and not forgetting that they created a new race category just for Zimmerman, White-Hispanic or better yet, self-proclaimed Hispanic. And as predicted, Americans fell for it, our dependency on main stream media and there left leaning agenda has been a disservice to all, but mostly to the left. They have disgraced the media, and made all left leaning politically minded people seem like nut cases. They have turned a tragedy, the death of a young man and the demise of another, into a circus. They have dishonored the memory of Trayvon and ruined the life of Zimmerman and have made any advancement in race relations have just been pushed back 20 years.

And this helps Trayvon how? This Helps Zimmerman how? This helps America how?

All three are valid questions, and all three deserve equal attention, but as things are in the this country, with the media the way it is, only the Trayvon questions will get asked, and sadly it will get asked in all the wrong ways.

It will get asked in the light of hatred and political agendas and not in the light of love and humanity, it will be asked by an uninformed media that sees only ratings and not people with souls. It will be plastered on our TV’s and blasted through the radios in voices and images of intolerance and make-believe. Fairytales will be spun and grandiose stories will be told. But in the end Trayvon will still be dead and Zimmerman will still be persecuted, and nothing, nothing will have changed, for the better.

What happened was a tragedy, for both, two people in the wrong place at the wrong time. Do I think Trayvon was up to no good, no, I don’t think so, but I was not there. Do I think Zimmerman was out to kill, no, I don’t think so, but I was not in his head at the time. What do I think, I think both men, and yes Trayvon was a man, not the 12-year-old often shown, I think both men reacted badly. Who started it, I don’t know, I was not there, but I do know it ended badly, for both, one is dead and the others life has been taken from him.

Some would argue that its ok the Zimmerman’s life is, for all practical purposes, taken from him, he is a killer and lucky to be free at all. But according to Florida law, he is not, and as far as I understand law (trust me, I don’t) the jury did the right thing.

Many have argued that Zimmerman was at fault because he followed Trayvon, and if he did not follow him, he would not have killed him. True, bad judgment on Zimmerman’s part, yep, but bad judgment and following someone are not breaking the law. Some would also argue that Trayvon should have just kept walking home, not turn around and confront Zimmerman, bad judgment on Trayvon’s part, yep, and sadly it got him killed.

Both men are at fault here, neither broke the law, but both made stupid decisions, and both have paid a price. Yes the loss of a young man is tragic, and I mean no disrespect for Trayvon, but in the end, their own choices defined what happened to them. Should Zimmerman have been convicted, no, the law in Florida is clear, should Trayvon have died, no, his life has/had meaning.

I read a lot of comments on Facebook from ignorant people, on both sides of the issue, some calling for vigilantly style justice, calling for the death of Zimmerman, and some claiming that Trayvon was nothing but a punk-ass kid looking for trouble. Was Trayvon a punk-ass kid, got me, I didn’t know him, does that mean he deserved to die, absolutely not. No more than Zimmerman deserved to be hunted down and killed vigilantly style.

I have heard it said the Zimmerman is racist, the facts don’t prove it out, I have heard it said that Trayvon was totally innocent in this, the facts don’t prove it out. Emotions are high and the rhetoric from the talking heads on main stream media is in full swig, can we expect truth from them, no, but what we can expect is more spin and political agendas, how is this honoring Trayvon? It’s not, its disgracing him and our nation. Want to honor Trayvon, set up a anti-violence campaign in his name, set up a scholarship fund, perform community service to better the lives of our youth, do something constructive and not destructive.

You want to help race relations, stop making up race issues, we have enough real ones we don’t need to fabricate them. Stop labeling people as White-Hispanic (whatever that is), African-Americans, Black, White or Yellow, we are all Americans, labels only divide, they do not unite. Ask yourself this, Is President Obama the first Black President or the first  1/2 Black 1/2 White President? And really, does it matter the color of their skin, or is it the character of their souls? Race relations will never improve if we keep injecting race into the equation when we find it convenient. To me President Obama is just American, I disagree with his polices not because he happens to be 1/2 black, but because I don’t like socialistic policies. Different political views does not make me a racist, it makes me American.

In the end, no one really wins in the Trayvon & Zimmerman show except TV networks and the ratings they will receive. The outcome of the fateful night will not change, a young mans life was cut short, his family will always suffer the loss of Trayvon and Zimmerman’s life will forever be altered, he and his family will never be the same. No winners in this, only tragedy, for Trayvon, Zimmerman and America… Sad… So very sad…

Lets hope and pray that cooler heads will prevail in the days, weeks and months to come…

Words have power

Below is an article form my local community newspaper, I thought it was worth sharing….

Who doesn’t love the power of words?

By Susan Willett

In my business, one has to love words. True, some of my favorites and most often used remain unprintable in a family (or any other) newspaper, but still, one simply has to love the power and beauty of words. I mean, what can’t they do? They can bring one great joy, terrible agony and nearly every emotion in between, depending on the skill of their user. The pen really can be mightier than the sword, as long as one isn’t attempting to defend oneself in a duel, I guess. So last month when the Wayne State Word Warriors revealed their list of words most worth of retrieval and reentry in common usage, I was especially interested. In a preface to the list, the Warriors explained that most of these words have fallen out of common use and are on the brink of obsolescence. Bringing them back, said Jerry Herron, the dean of the Honors College, "is just another way of broadening our horizons." Well butter my buns and call me a biscuit, Jerry, but to my great consternation, many of these haven’t really fallen out of usage with some old fogies, such as myself. I was way too familiar with several of them, which made me feel as antiquated as, well, as some of the others sound. Here’s the list, see what you think. • Buncombe Rubbish; nonsense; empty or misleading talk. What a relief to have the election over — that great festival of buncombe that so distracted the nation for months. • Cerulean The blue of the sky. Her eyes were a clear, deep cerulean blue, like no eyes Trevor had ever seen, and looking into them made him feel lighter than air. • Chelonian Like a turtle (and who doesn’t like turtles?). Weighed down by bickering and blather, the farm bill crept through Congress at a chelonian pace. • Dragoon To compel by coercion; to force someone to do something they’d rather not. After working in the yard all day, Michael was dragooned into going to the ballet instead of flopping down to watch the Redwings on TV. • Fantods Extreme anxiety, distress, nervousness or irritability. Jeremy’s love of islands was tempered by the fact that driving over high bridges always gave him the raging fantods. • Mawkish Excessively sentimental; sappy; hopelessly trite. To her surprise, Beth found Robert’s words of love to be so mawkish that they made her feel sticky, as though she were being painted with molasses. • Natter To talk aimlessly, often at great length; rarely, it means simply to converse. You can tell our staff meetings are winding down when everybody starts nattering about their kids. • Persiflage Banter; frivolous talk. Emma hoped to get Lady Astor into a serious conversation, but as long as the King was around she could elicit only persiflage and gossip. • Troglodyte Literally, a cave-dweller. More frequently a backward, mentally sluggish person. Susan felt she could have saved the company if only the troglodytes in management had taken her advice. • Winkle To pry out or extract something; from the process of removing the snail from an edible periwinkle. Jack showed no inclination to leave his seat beside Alice, but Roger was determined towinkle him out of that chair no matter what it took. See what I mean? I may be mawkishly nattering on at a chelonian pace, but trogdolytes who can’t winkle some fun out of words give me the fantods. They should be dragooned into a library until the persiflage and buncombe of their vocabularies is transformed into a cerulean streak of intelligent discourse.

America…How I weep for Her

The Statue of Liberty front shot, on Liberty I...

The Statue of Liberty front shot, on Liberty Island. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

I weep for a nation that is no more, for a nation that was once a great nation, a nation that prided itself on achieving greatness through hard work and innovation.

I weep for a people that once believed that handouts were to be looked down upon and that prosperity was not guaranteed but rather something you worked for, I weep for a people that once believed in the American Dream, but now believe in the American Scheme.

Last night America voted, and last night they voted for a new America, an America that is unknown to our founding fathers, an America that removers personal responsibility and replaced it with Government handouts, an America that looks at the Constitution as nothing but an old document written by old white men and religious freedom has now become a relic of the past. America is no longer the America I grew up in, it is now the America of the twisted views of the left, a socialistic state that will plunge into a depression and America will become the next Greece.

We have given up on the dream and now want the scheme. We are willing to place our health into the care of a government scheme, ObamaCare, one of the largest corporations in the world GM is nothing more than a government scheme, following in the tracks of Amtrak. America the free has been replaced by America the Dependent, sad, oh so very sad.. I weep for my country and my fellow countrymen, I weep for all the brave men and woman who gave there lives to defend our freedom only to have it lost, I weep until I can weep no more.
