Ok, I love the Midcentury look, but not for Santa and not for a mall display for the kids… And I’m truly sorry if Santa and Christmas offend you. But this whole idea that we must sterilize our culture to make sure no one gets offended is, well, offensive.
Come on, its CHRISTMAS, you know, the celebration of the birth of Jesus, a major Christian holiday and oh, by the way, one that America celebrates, because we are a Christian nation…
So, here is the thing, you don’t want to celebrate Christmas, then please don’t, you don’t want to see Santa, then don’t, I won’t force you, no one will, hey, its a free country… Even if you don’t like it to be one. If you want to not be offended, don’t leave your house, because I can guarantee that someone or something in this nasty world of ours is going to offend you.
A Long Island mall swapped Santa’s sleigh for something resembling a spaceship and nixed the Christmas tree because it didn’t want to “offend” anyone, irate shoppers told The Post.
The Roosevelt Field Mall ditched its traditional holiday village and put Ol’ Saint Nick inside a winter-themed “glacier” instead. But some say the white and blue display looks more like something out of “Star Trek” than “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”
