The Loss of Freedom for our own Good…

The United States Supreme Court.

The United States Supreme Court. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Yesterday the United States Supreme Court upheld ObamaCare, a massive intrusion into our personal lives and our freedoms. With this ruling, the courts granted congress the power to force Americans into purchasing products that they may or may not want or need. By the courts calling the individual mandate a tax, they have upheld the single largest tax increase in American history, created a bureaucracy that will grow the size of government like we have never seen and granted the IRS unprecedented powers to come after you and your money.

Every American should be scared, very scared indeed.

Think I am over reacting? Think again

Shall I go on?

Are you starting to get it… Once government knows it can get away with one ban, one tax, one forced purchase, it will add more, take away more freedoms, more individual choices, creating a nanny state that feels they know better than you, how you should live your life.

All Americans should be scared, very scared indeed…

The Three Types of Change

word-cloud-change

All change is not growth, as all movement is not forward.

Ellen Glasgow

Being interested in and involved in the “Change” industry, I found this quote to be dead on, All too often we tend to think that if we are changing, it must be a positive thing, that we must be growing is some manner. Nothing could be further from the truth. Some change is neutral, you neither move forward nor back, your just stand still. Yet other changes seems to be more positive, we move forward, all-be-it, sometimes a little too slow for our liking, but it’s still a move forward. Change can also move us backwards, much to our dismay.

Let us look at each type of change and discover its potential:

Neutral Change:

The process of non-change, as it where, in the natural state we are neither moving forward nor back, we are just there. This state of being, I would venture, is the most common state. The state of contentment or resignation, we neither desire to change or do not possess the motivation to enact the steps necessary to change. In this state there is no complaining about your current state, but it does not mean you are satisfied with your current life, you may be, but you may also be just resigned to the fact that this is your life. This state can be a sort of sloth, a laziness or true contentment.

Forward Change:

This change is what most people would consider a positive change, a change that is moving you from one state to a new state. This is true, in a forward state you are moving in a new direction. However, the move may or may not be a positive move. For example, you may decide that you wish to advance your situation at work, to become a manager. To help you achieve this goal you start to read books on leadership and management. However, in your search for the right books, you are given bad advice and read books that teach you skills that cause you to back stab and claw your way to the top. You have now moved in a new direction, but that direction is not positive. It is not life affirming it is a direction that may get you that management position, but along the way you have destroyed yourself, and your relationships. Forward change is not always positive; we must pay close attention to how we go about achieving the change we desire.

Backward Change:

Using the example from above, you have now achieved your goal, you are a manager. Yet along the way you backstabbed many friends and you have neglected your relationships. Your life, simple, is a wreck. You have seen your failures, and no longer wish to remain the person you have become. You desire change. At this junction you have three choices. 1. Stay the course; learn to live with what you are. (Neutral) 2. Move forward, correction the misguided choices of the past. 3. Return back; Undo the changes to return to your former self.

This third choice, to move back, sounds like a retreat that you are giving up. However, nothing could be further from the truth. Ask any good General, and they will tell you that you need to know when to retreat. That a well-timed retreat can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

There are times in all our lives that we need to return to our past. Times that we must go back in order to truly move forward. In the example above, you may decide that returning to the “old” you bay be the best starting point to move forward to the “new” you. Especially if you never felt comfortable in the “current” you, you just created. Retreating to safety, back behind the lines, does not mean you are giving up the ground you have taken. Returning to the old you doesn’t mean you give up your new management position. However, it does mean that you must reevaluate your current position and decide if it fits into your new tactical plan.

Change is not a single war to be won, it is many battles, some are victories others are defeats and some are draws. Nevertheless, each battle is a part of the overall war. Only in war can an army lose most of the battles, yet still win the war. We must learn to choose our battles, to plan our attach and our retreats. Learn to be content with a draw and retreat as we are with a victory.

Recommended Reading:

Each of the four books looks at change and life. The first two are historical in nature, but offer lessons that we all should learn. I have read each book, learned life lessons and gained insight in to myself and the world around me. Each book will teach you about the three types of changes and the power of each. Happy reading!

Killing Lincoln

By: Bill O`Reilly

Publication Date: September 27, 2011

killing

A riveting historical narrative of the heart-stopping events surrounding the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, and the first work of history from mega-bestselling author Bill O’Reilly

The anchor of The O’Reilly Factor recounts one of the most dramatic stories in American history—how one gunshot changed the country forever. In the spring of 1865, the bloody saga of America’s Civil War finally comes to an end after a series of increasingly harrowing battles. President Abraham Lincoln‘s generous terms for Robert E. Lee‘s surrender are devised to fulfill Lincoln’s dream of healing a divided nation, with the former Confederates allowed to reintegrate into American society. But one man and his band of murderous accomplices, perhaps reaching into the highest ranks of the U.S. government, are not appeased.

In the midst of the patriotic celebrations in Washington D.C., John Wilkes Booth—charismatic ladies’ man and impenitent racist—murders Abraham Lincoln at Ford’s Theatre. A furious manhunt ensues and Booth immediately becomes the country’s most wanted fugitive. Lafayette C. Baker, a smart but shifty New York detective and former Union spy, unravels the string of clues leading to Booth, while federal forces track his accomplices. The thrilling chase ends in a fiery shootout and a series of court-ordered executions—including that of the first woman ever executed by the U.S. government, Mary Surratt. Featuring some of history’s most remarkable figures, vivid detail, and page-turning action, Killing Lincoln is history that reads like a thriller.

Being George Washington

By: Glenn Beck

Publication Date: November 22, 2011

george

IF YOU THINK YOU KNOW GEORGE WASHINGTON, THINK AGAIN.

This is the amazing true story of a real-life superhero who wore no cape and possessed no special powers—yet changed the world forever. It’s a story about a man whose life reads as if it were torn from the pages of an action novel: Bullet holes through his clothing. Horses shot out from under him. Unimaginable hardship. Disease. Heroism. Spies and double-agents. And, of course, the unmistakable hand of Divine Providence that guided it all.

Being George Washington is a whole new way to look at history. You won’t simply read about the awful winter spent at Valley Forge—you’ll live it right alongside Washington. You’ll be on the boat with him crossing the Delaware, in the trenches with him at Yorktown, and standing next to him at the Constitutional Convention as a new republic is finally born.

Through these stories you’ll not only learn our real history (and how it applies to today), you’ll also see how the media and others have distorted our view of it. It’s ironic that the best-known fact about George Washington—that he chopped down a cherry tree—is a complete lie. It’s even more ironic when you consider that a lie was thought necessary to prove he could not tell one.

For all of his heroism and triumphs, Washington’s single greatest accomplishment was the man he created in the process: courageous and principled, fair and just, respectful to all. But he was also something else: flawed.

It’s those flaws that should give us hope for today. After all, if Washington had been perfect, then there would be no way to build another one. That’s why this book is not just about being George Washington in 1776, it’s about the struggle to be him every single day of our lives. Understanding the way he turned himself from an uneducated farmer into the Indispensable (yet imperfect) Man, is the only way to build a new generation of George Washington’s that can take on the extraordinary challenges that America is once again facing.

An Open Letter to all Catholics, to all Americans

Dear Catholics:

clip_image002This Open letter it to all Catholics, be they liberal or conservative, laps or practicing, fallen away or on their way back home to Rome. In-fact this open letter should be shared with non-Catholics, non-Christians and anyone who is concerned about their personal liberty and freedom. This letter is intended to excite you, motivate you and call you to action. This letter is a letter of protest and a letter of compassion; it is written from my heart and shared with the world. It will, undoubtably contain miss-spellings, bad punctuation and grammatical errors. However, what it will not contain is false emotions and lack of integrity. It will be heartfelt and passionate, it will be my personal views and my faith presented for you and for all.

Revelation 3:16
So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

The above quote is the foundation upon I build my letter. The words of St. John in the book of Revelation needs to be in our hearts and on our minds as we read this letter and internalized. It is the basis of all that I have to say concerning the current state of anti-Catholic, anti-liberty rhetoric coming from Washington DC.

The Obama administration continues their attack on Liberty and Freedom; they continue to erode our rights to religious freedom. The latest being their insistence that Catholic Institutions abandon their core beliefs and offer healthcare benefits that cover birth control, sterilization and abortion causing drugs. This is a direct act against our religious freedom and anti-American. (Source)

We, as Americans, as Catholics as a freedom loving people must stand up, speak out and protest this act of religious bigotry. We, as Catholics, are called to do so, by our very baptism, we have been given the responsibility to stand up for and defend our faith and our Church. Yet, all too often, we fail to do so. If we remain still and quiet the Obama Administration will win, not just the healthcare debate, but even more importantly they clip_image003will the war he and his administration has waged against religious freedoms.

Our right as Americans and our obligations as Catholics are being challenged and we must respond, and we must respond loudly and boldly. This administration is forcing Catholic Charities, Hospitals and Schools to support and pay for treatments that are counter to our faith, counter to our faith structure. This should shock all Americans, not just Catholics. This is an attack on all Freedoms, not just Religious Freedoms. The Founding Fathers would be shocked to their core and the call for Revolution would once again be heard over this great land. The Founding Fathers fought for Freedom and Liberty, the ability for people to choose their Faith and practices it as seen fit by the faith. They fought for less government and more personal responsibility, not for Big Brother and Government intervention into our daily lives. Healthcare is a personal responsibility and one that the government should not be involved in, but that will be saved for another time. Back to this open letter and the attack on our religious freedoms.

From Bishop Boyea of the Lansing Diocese

Diocese of Lansing Responds to HHS Mandate

These past days have seen a grave error on the part of the federal government, as well as a blessed response from Catholics all across this great state and nation.
By now, all men and women of faith know that the United States Department of Health and Human Services has declared that health benefit plans must include coverage for sterilization, contraception, and abortion-inducing drugs. This unconstitutional and unconscionable mandate is to take effect in stages during 2012 and 2013.
The Catholic Church in the United States will never comply with this mandate. Told that the federal government has allowed a one-year grace period during which the Church can adjust itself to this mandate, Cardinal-designate Timothy Dolan of the Archdiocese of New York responded that the Church does not need a year to determine whether it would comply. He is right. In offering this supposed mandate, the federal government misreads the Constitution of the United States. It equally misreads the determination of Catholics.
This nation is built upon the three-legged stool of the First Amendment. Our precious freedoms of religion, speech, and assembly underlie everything this nation is, and everything this nation has ever accomplished. Religious liberty gives the freedom to preach the Truth. And the truth is that pregnancy is not a disease. Nor is the natural fertility of a woman a disease.
Through the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Michigan Catholic Conference, we are exploring a number of options, including litigation and Congressional reform. As these efforts move forward, Catholics should make clear to their elected officials the crucial importance of religious liberty, and they should pray daily for those who have the responsibility for making these decisions.(Source)

God Bless Bishop Boyea for his strong stance, he truly is a Sheppard of his flock, and I for one am proud to know he is in Michigan and at one time was part of the Archdiocese of Detroit. He speaks boldly and strongly, and his statement should be ours, we, as Catholics, will never comply with this mandate. We need to refuse, to protest and to vote with our Catholic heart and sensibility. We need to let Obama and his administration that he cannot, that no politician can dictate the pillars of our faith, that no mortal man can overturn the laws of God! We will not stand for this and we will, we must, fight back!

It is not only Conservatives or Republicans that should be upset, but Liberals and Democrats, this is not going to stop, the power grab will continue if it is not revered. We will see more laws; more directives infringing upon our Liberates and Freedoms enter into the cause of fairness and equality. The forced secularization of Catholic institutions is neither fair nor equal; it is tyranny in its infancy. It is socialism at its birth and will continue to grow unless we, as Americans, stand and fight! It is time that we rejuvenate our revolutionary hearts and stand for what is right.

Please do not miss understand me here, I am not talking about bloodshed, but I am talking about revolution, a change in the current regime and a return to Liberty and the Constitution. This Administration has trampled this document more than any other has; they have no respect for the Founders and see the Constitution as outdated and in-need of an update, The Constitution 2.0, if you will. Obama himself has stated this:

The President said,”…our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes.” (Source)

clip_image004Really, the system Obama is referring to is outlined and detailed in the Constitution… Hmm, How dare the Founders limit King Obama’s power to force his radical and leftist views upon Americans. That is exactly what he is doing with the contraceptive healthcare law being enforced upon Catholics. I know some Liberals and pro-abortionist are hailing this as a victory. However, they should be careful not to celebrate too much, because soon the heavy hand of tyranny will crush your freedoms and liberties, as it is ours. Hold your convictions tight, as Americans; we have the right to do so, and an obligation to defend them. However, be careful and de diligent, the road to socialism is paved with many tempting things. Such as forcing all to accept, for the betterment of all, abortion, birth control and serialization. It promises a nation with “free” healthcare and equality that is not only protected by the government but also guaranteed. The temptations of Utopia are many and they shine and glimmer of in the distance, just like fools gold below the waters of injustice. We all want Equality and Liberty, we all strive for Freedom and Fairness, but as we quest for and search for this Utopia, this perfection of Government and men, we often times forget the men to whom we are governing. Our Nation was designed with one concept in mind, that it is man who gives government its power, not government who gives man its Freedoms. We, as a Nation allow the Federal Government the power to withhold Liberties and Freedoms as a payment for protection of our Liberties and Freedoms. We give them the power, not the other way around. Yet they seem to see it differently, The Obama administration seems to see it as they grant us our Freedoms and Liberties, and in doing so, they rightly feel they have the power to remove, to hold ransom, our Liberties and Freedoms. As long as we allow them to feel this way, as long as we do not stand and fight for our Freedoms and Liberties, they will continue to act as if they have the power over us, and not as our Founding Fathers intended, we have the power of them. It is our Government, we created it and we can destroy it or we can restore it! What will it be? This is a defining moment in our history; this is a turning point for our Great Nation. How will we react?

Revelation 3:16
So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

I for one am going to stand and Fight!

God Bless

Priority 7: Faith in Vocation

I have posted several “work-in-Progress” documents for my up-and-coming talk, The 7 Priorities. The talk is next week, I have completed the presentation, but I thought I would post one more priority, its all the notes and back ground data I used to create the document. I hope you enjoy…And I hope to have a audio file of the talk to upload to my web site….

teamwork

Priority 7: Faith in Vocation

The seventh priority, vacation, is the priority of one’s life work. This priority is about fulfilling your destiny, to becoming the person you are created to be. Each person has a purpose, a mission and each mission service humanity.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Avocation, from the Latin vocare (verb, to call), is a term for an occupation to which a person is specially drawn or for which they are suited, trained or qualified.

vo·ca·tion

/voʊˈkeɪ ʃən/ Show Spelled[voh-key-shuh n] Show IPA

–noun

1.

a particular occupation, business, or profession; calling.

2.

a strong impulse or inclination to follow a particular activity or career.

3.

a divine call to God‘s service or to the Christian life.

Each man has his own vocation. The talent is the call. There is one direction in which all space is open to him. He has faculties silently inviting him thither to endless exertion. He is like a ship in the river; he runs against obstructions on every side but one; on that side all obstruction is taken away, and he sweeps serenely over a deepening channel into an infinite sea.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

1. From your fears come misconceptions.

The uncertainty of exploring your passion can lead to irrational fears and unlikely conclusions. Many are afraid that pursuing their passion will put them in the poorhouse. Others fear that the path to their true calling may lead them in some irreversible direction or limit their future options. Bronson observes, "Often we burn 70 percent of our emotional energy on what we fear might happen (90 percent of which won’t happen)." These psychological stumbling blocks are most often overblown, worst case scenarios that keep people from finding themselves. He adds, "What I found is that, if you take care of these obstacles, you create an environment where the truth is invited into your life."Get rid of the fear factor and pursue your dreams.

2. Don’t wait for clarity.

Many people wait and hope that their calling will come to them in the form of an epiphany. Don’t wait for a "big moment" or a sign. Sometimes the obstacle isn’t that you don’t know what makes you happy, rather it’s hard to imagine that what you love could be a profession. It’s possible to bridge these two worlds together with a little hustle, training and determination. Having an epiphany is great, but so often they tell you something you already know in your heart.

3. If you aren’t happy, don’t stay.

Bronson’s book is filled with stories of real-life examples of people who left jobs that compromised their values, consumed far too much of their lives, were no longer interesting, or created feelings of constant fatigue or insomnia. They were doctors, lawyers and investment bankers who left the jobs that were dragging them down and have found happiness as a massage therapist, bakery owner, or catfish farmer. It’s not selfish to deny what will make you happy. Life will evolve naturally if you listen to your inner self and pursue what you truly enjoy.

4
. Experience speaks for itself.

Real wisdom is found in experience, yet people too often ignore the strong message of their experience. They fail to embrace their experience because they believed their calling was to be figured out intellectually. If you have no idea where to start, there’s some insight waiting for you in the experiences you’ve already had.

For some that may mean changing sides like the oil company geologist who was morally troubled by his environmental cleanup work. He took a county government job to fight the very same company he used to work for. For others it means finding a career in doing what they love more than anything. Bronson shares a story of a college grad who had held 16 jobs in 8 years. His true passion was golf and he really wanted to use his love of the sport to help others play better. He had even designed a golf swing trainer and putter grip. With a little nudge and using his sales experience, he took a job selling golf equipment and has already pitched his ideas to the United States Golf Association (USGA) and demonstrated his grip prototype at a couple of golf expos.

5. Never give up.

It’s OK and even normal to take many years before pursuing or discovering your calling. It’s possible to have more than one purpose in life, and you can do them together or sequentially. It really doesn’t matter as long as you are focused and pursuing them versus chasing other unimportant things like a job title that will impress people you don’t really care about, a top-paying job that is uninspiring or a dream that is someone else’s (your parents’, your spouse’s) and not your own.

Po Bronson is the author of The New York Times best seller ‘What Should I Do with My Life? — a book that chronicles inspirational true stories of people who have found the most meaningful answers to that great question. He is the author of two other books and has written articles for The New York Times magazine and The Wall Street Journal.

The F-bomb

f bomb f-bomb ball fuse

I just read an article in the Detroit Free Press (Yes we know how to read in Detroit) about a man who was kicked off his flight out of Detroit Metro airport for dropping the F-bomb (Story here).

I’m not going to say that he should have or should not have been kicked off, I was not there, but I am going to comment how we think. One comment of his struck me, he said:

"We use curse words just like adjectives. But the thing is, I never said it out loud towards him. He just happened to be right behind me."

Is that really an excuse? I will be the first to admit I use the F-bomb, but I will also be the first to admit, I try not to use it, or any other curse work in public places were children may be or where it may offend someone. And I will be the first to admit that I do slip up.  So this is not a holier than thou statement. It is basically a question on morality, politeness and common decency.

Have we gotten to a time and age where cussing is expected? Do we really think its ok to use such words in front of our children? I have hear many a parent use the F-bomb much like they would you “I love you”.

The excuses I hear are basically the same “Oh it’s just a word, it has no meaning” and “That’s just the way I talk”. I had a friend who use to use the work every other word, “So my F**king boss said he was F**King going to cut my F**King pay, well F**K him!” So intelligent sounding…. And they worked in a church!

To me, the over use of bad words is a sign of ignorance. You hear it in todays youth, you read it on there Facebook and twitter postings and in the songs they listen to. Soon, I am sure, it will become the norm on primetime TV.  It already is the norm in the movies they watch.

Like I said, I’m no prude, I  use the word and have heard it. I don’t get all bent out of shape when it is used, but…. Is it necessary? I have been making an effort to cut down on and stop the use of such words. I find that the older I get the less “cool” they sound.

I think we, as parents and adults need to make an effort to show our teens and pre-teens that the English language does not need such words, that we can communicate just fine with out using the F-bomb every other word. I know that’s what I tell my boy… Does it make a difference? I don’t know, the youth are always hard to read and there peers have a major influence on them. But I am sure deep down the message is heard.

God Bless

American short term memory loss

Rick Snyder for Governor Yard Sign

The American people have a tendency to forget quickly…. This past November we held local, state and national elections all over our great nation. Overwhelmingly we voted for conservatives,  we told the powers that that be that we no longer wanted our government to spend our money freely, that we wanted accountability.

In my great state of Michigan we did just that. We voted in a man who promised to make the hard decisions, to fix our broken system and to make Michigan great once again. We voted for the self proclaimed nerd, Rick Snyder, and he won with overwhelming support. And he has submitted his first budget as governor, and, wait for it, he did what he said he was going to do, he make the hard decisions, made cuts and shared the sacrifice. And now the people are complaining… Go figure!

Why are they complaining? They voted for him (I know not everyone did, but most did). They are complaining because the sacrifice has hit them also. Unlike other politicians, Rick did what he said he was gong to do, to share the burden, to cut from everywhere and fix what was broken. Michigan was not working, it was broke, and doing business as usual was not an option. So now is the time to fix it and move on. But the fix has to be, wait for it, “Fair”. Yes I know, I just used a liberal word here. But I mean truly fair, as in everyone helps to fix it, everyone gives something up, every one pays the price. Not just the “rich” or the “fat cats” but everyone, including the unions. Yes I said it, even the unions. But Rick went even further, he also included the golden calf, the state workers and there beloved pensions…

It is time for Americans to wake up, the liberal social point of view, the idea of a nanny state is bankrupting our cities, states and this nation. The government, be it local or national, was not established to care for your every needs, yet we expect it to. And when the money runs out, like it is now, we are shocked and dismayed. Silly us….!

We, like the rest of the world, are having our own uprising, we too are fighting to take back our government. God willing, it will not become violent, and we will have ourselves a silent revolution, one done through the power of the vote. Yet we must also remain steadfast in our convictions, and our American short term memory loss needs to be fixed. Fixing what took decades to create is not going to be easy, nor is it going to be fun, but it needs to be done.

It is time for Americans to grow up at decide to take care of themselves. The whole idea of interments is a flawed idea, an idea that takes way our freedoms and or own personal responsibility. We have become a nation of give me, and no longer a nation of doing. Well my friends it is time we start doing! It is time that we, the citizens, take care of each other, a time the we the people fight for our God given right to choose our own path, to forge anew and reawaken our American spirit. It is time to reclaim America, reclaim our states and our dignity.

God Bless

Nobody Told Me

Strange days indeed… A quote from John Lennon from:

Everybody’s talking and no one says a word
Everybody’s making love and no one really cares
There’s Nazis in the bathroom just below the stairs
Always something happening and nothing going on
There’s always something cooking and nothing in the pot
They’re starving back in China so finish what you got

Nobody told me there’d be days like these
Nobody told me there’d be days like these
Nobody told me there’d be days like these
Strange days indeed — strange days indeed

Everybody’s runnin’ and no one makes a move
Everyone’s a winner and nothing left to lose
There’s a little yellow idol to the north of Katmandu
Everybody’s flying and no one leaves the ground
Everybody’s crying and no one makes a sound
There’s a place for us in the movies you just gotta lay around

Nobody told me there’d be days like these
Nobody told me there’d be days like these
Nobody told me there’d be days like these
Strange days indeed — most peculiar, mama

Everybody’s smoking and no one’s getting high
Everybody’s flying and never touch the sky
There’s a UFO over New York and I ain’t too surprised

Nobody told me there’d be days like these
Nobody told me there’d be days like these
Nobody told me there’d be days like these
Strange days indeed — most peculiar, mama

Well this morning I knew exactly what John was talking about. I was listening to FOX radio, the Allen Colmes radio show. Allen was interviewing the first announced 2012 presidential  contender, Jonathon "The Impaler" Sharkey. Yep, The Impaler…

This had to be one of the strangest interviews I have ever heard, here are some high lights:

  • The Impaler is 44 years old
  • He dates 16 and 19 year old girls
  • He considers himself a vampire
  • He drinks blood “Donated” to him from his 16 to 19 year girl friends
  • He wants to go back to “medieval” form of punishments
  • He wants to force congress to repeal abortion laws and would use force, the army, to do so if needed
  • He is a devil worshiper

The above are just the high lights, the 15 minutes of airwaves used up to allow this man to speak was filled with one strange comment after the other. It was, in a strange way, entertaining. The Impaler takes himself seriously, that’s the truly scary part, and yes, he wants to run on the republican ticket… God save us all….

Don’t believe me select the link  (The Impalor)

I could not make this stuff up, its to good. But I must say it does sound like a story from Stephen King… Maybe I should contact Mr. King and offer him my idea, I wonder if I would get a thank you check for my great idea?

I am use to hearing such crazies running for office in the UK, or even maybe San Francisco, but I don’t ever remember one for president.  Odd is to kind of a word for what this was.

Has American politics come to this, were we would even consider a vampire for president, maybe a council member back in some small, odd town in California, or maybe even a cabinet position in the current White House, but not the presidency itself. I don’t know, the interview just hit a cord with me, that even a nut could run for the most powerful office in the world.

Well lets hope that disenfranchised Obama voters don’t decide that a blood drinking, teen dating, devil worshiping alternative grabs there short attention spans. With the current interest in all the vampire movies and TV shows, this nut case has a built in voter base. Scary stuff indeed…

Well the 2012 election session sure got off to a bang… Any one got a cross handy or a silver steak and mallet…

God Bless

Paul

The Truth comes out is odd ways

This morning when I was deciding to blog, I was not to sure what to blog about, so like I will often do I turned to the internet looking for inspiration. I went to all my normal sites, www.catholic.net, www.usatoday.com, and other news outlets on the web. I have set up several feeds on my home page that allows me to read headlines from several sources, but nothing was jumping out at me. So I turned to Bing. Not the singer, but the search engine and typed in the key words “Odd News”. You never know what you will find…

NYC Schools chancellor regrets birth control joke

Ok, the title grabbed me… A school official jokes about birth control… Hmmm, can birth control even be funny? So I clicked the link…

A spokeswoman says New York City Schools Chancellor Cathie Black was making a joke when she suggested overcrowded schools could be solved with birth control.

The article, short but to the point, makes a very interesting read. And to me it states a lot about what the liberal elites really think. The basic problem the school board was discussing was over crowding and the need to address the need for more desk in the future. The solution, according the Black, birth control. The reaction from the people, well they did not find it funny and some even stated it was a racists remark…

Well I don’t know Miss. Black, so I can not comment on that, but I can comment on the over-all idea of Birth Control and ethnic community…

Planned Parenthood, the international baby killing company, basic premise is racists. The founder herself, Margaret Sanger spoke of sterilizing those she designated as “unfit,” a plan she said would be the “salvation of American civilization. (read more here)

Some more interesting reading from the same website (more to read)

Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in America. 78% of their clinics are in minority communities. Blacks make up 12% of the population, but 35% of the abortions in America. Are we being targeted? Isn’t that genocide? We are the only minority in America that is on the decline in population. If the current trend continues, by 2038 the black vote will be insignificant. Did you know that the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a devout racist who created the Negro Project designed to sterilize unknowing black women and others she deemed as undesirables of society? The founder of Planned Parenthood said, “Colored people are like human weeds and are to be exterminated.” Is her vision being fulfilled today?
